Summer Morning On A Prairie

I was invited to spend a couple hours at The Des Moines Golf & Country Club to take pictures around the course today.Iowa was once a prairie, and in later years there has been a trend toward restoring prairie plantings and wetlands. All Along the edges of the greens were wild grasses and flowers. These areas were host to many butterflies,Dragonflies and Bees.
Afterwards we were hot, tired and covered in pollen ourselves. We had a refreshing lunch and spent the afternoon sharing editing knowledge. It was a fine summer day.

POLLEN dont remind me..LoL gets the best of me really fast.. I think these are wonderful. a neat place to find new things to photograph. When I think of praries I think of NEBRASKA for some reason.. I have been through IOWA and Nebraska..NEbraska seemed more like it than farmland.. maybe it was the time of year I went through there though. NICE SHOTS..

Hi, Tani! Love the new look & just adore the photo of the butterfly on the blue flowers!
RE showing the comments link- it is probably defaulted to black font (which of course won't show on the black background; go to Customize:Fonts and Colors, then scroll the left hand box until you find "link color" & change is to something else :)

Ahh Meg had a good idea - I figured it was something like that but I had no idea you could change the font color. Go figure! :) I love the top picture of the purple flower and bee. What kind of flower is that anyway??

You know, I'm really not sure why we can click on some of the pictures and get directed to the larger picture. Some of mine do it and some don't - even within the same entry. I even noticed that only one of my "Twitter-Pated" pictures was clickable the other day and now none of them are. I've tried looking around to see if there is an option to change it, but so far I haven't found anything. If I do figure it out, I'll let you know. Until then I'll just continue to shrink my pics before I post.

Thanks Meg,That was the problem.I was not too sure since after comments were made the link would show up green as selected, but black was what the font was set to.I hope it is all fixed now.
