The Perfect Pose

My nieces kitten Levi is growing up fast.He is such a comical cat,and he spends alot of time trying to make up to the new kitten in the house,my Lily. Here he was hanging out near her on the back of the couch and had his paws draped over the back of the wicker cair.It looked so perfect I had to grab the camera and external flash and grab it quick before he could move away.

Hi Tani,
I just updated my link for aplseed to your new space. I'm still trying to get the hang of blogspot, so bare with me. Your pictures look great! I tried to view your complete portfolio but I'm getting the e-runaround. I may just create an account and dummy blog to make it easier.

I love the picture of the cat. I really miss having a cat. My last cat was a black barn cat that we named Smoky. He died of leukemia and I have not been brave enough to get another one, YET. Keep up the great photography work you are doing. You can really see the changes since you got the new camera.

What a character he is :) You caught him perfectly (btw- what is the trick for avoiding "devil eyes"?)

meg,the trick for me with the DSLR is to use a flash that has the ability to rotate. Then I point it towards a cieling or a wall away from the animals eyes. Animals eyes are so different fro ours that red eye reduction features don't always help.I cant say what would help with a P&S unless you fnd some way to shiled the light so it isn't so bright.
